    Ayurvedic Syrup

    You can make quick syrup for a sore throat or persistent cough with ingredients in your pantry.

    Mix 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of water and 1 tablespoon of honey. Take this mixture thrice a day and your sore throat will disappear soon.


    Honey

    Honey mixed in tea or simply taken straight up has long been a home remedy for sore throat. Scientific studies have confirmed this natural wonder works.  Studies have also shown that honey is an effective wound healer, which means it may also help speed healing for sore throats.

    Salt Water

    Add a a small spoon of salt in a luke warm water. Gargle with this salt solution. It is one of the age-old effective methods of combating with sore throat.

    Tea Solution

    Add a spoonful of tea leaves in luke warm water. Keep aside for 3 min. strain the water and collect it in a glass. Gargle with this tea solution. It is an effective method for treating sore throat.

    Licorice Root

    Licorice root or a.k.a mulethi has been used as a anti-sore throat herb since ages. Prepare a mixture of licorice root and water by boiling them together. Let the mixture cool down to luke-warm level. Gargling with this solution does wonders within no time.
